Effective date and version
Effective July 23, 2026. Policy version: refund-policy-2026-07-23.
This policy applies prospectively to purchases whose checkout snapshot records this version. Requests tied to an earlier policy remain reviewed under the version recorded when they were opened.
The guarantee
Privca guarantees a refund of the remaining refundable balance of an account's first successful paid subscription charge when the request is received within 336 hours of Stripe's paid timestamp and no qualifying external privacy request or follow-up was transmitted after payment for the payer or a covered Family member.
The 336-hour deadline is inclusive. Privca derives the verified charge and refundable amount server-side; a customer or operator cannot substitute another payment or choose a partial guarantee amount.
What counts as use
A real request or follow-up transmitted to a broker, company, portal, or other request target after payment counts as use. This includes automated, email, manual, and portal submission lanes across the payer and covered Family members.
Login, account or identity setup, identity verification, target selection, unsent request preparation, and local-log testing do not count as transmitted use. A failed external reservation does not count; an unresolved handoff requires human review rather than a guess.
Eligible purchase and excluded charges
The eligible purchase must be the account's first successful paid subscription charge, identified as a subscription-creation invoice in U.S. dollars and made under the July 23 checkout disclosure. A prior successful paid subscription purchase makes a later purchase ineligible.
Renewals, re-subscriptions, plan changes, add-ons, ambiguous provider history, and charges with no refundable balance are outside this guarantee.
How to request the guarantee
Open Dashboard → Billing → Request refund review and select the initial-purchase guarantee. The recorded request time is preserved even if Stripe is temporarily unavailable.
Creating the request places an immediate hold on real external submissions for the payer and covered Family members while eligibility is verified. Unsent preparation and local-log simulation remain available.
Eligibility review and decision
Privca verifies the payer, subscription, first paid invoice, PaymentIntent, charge, U.S.-dollar amount, paid time, remaining refundable balance, disclosure version, Family scope, prior purchase history, and external-action history. Ambiguous or unavailable provider data is not treated as permission to deny or refund blindly; the hold remains pending verification or human review.
The customer sees a minimized eligibility status and reason without raw provider payloads.
Refund, cancellation, and prepared work
A qualifying guarantee refund returns the full remaining refundable balance to the original payment method. When Stripe reports success, Privca ends paid access, cancels the exact subscription and future renewals without a new invoice or proration, and cancels jobs that have no external-submission evidence.
Work transmitted before payment or before the hold is preserved for evidence and appropriate monitoring. Privca does not send broker-withdrawal messages merely because a guarantee refund succeeds.
Other refund reasons
Duplicate charges, unauthorized charges, charges after cancellation, billing errors, material service failures, discretionary corrections, and remedies required by law remain separately reviewable. Those cases may allow a full or partial amount and do not automatically cancel the subscription.
A guarantee denial does not decide or waive a separately supported billing-error, unauthorized-charge, or required-law claim.
Provider timing, records, and disputes
Stripe returns approved refunds only to the original payment method. Bank posting time depends on the payment method and issuer, and a recent charge may appear as a reversal. Privca retains a minimized immutable execution snapshot for reconciliation, audit, dispute review, and applicable legal or accounting obligations.
Tell Privca if the same charge is disputed with a bank or provider. Privca may coordinate the remedy to prevent duplicate reimbursement without limiting non-waivable dispute rights.
Required-law rights and contact
Nothing in this policy limits refund, cancellation, automatic-renewal, payment, or consumer-protection rights that cannot be waived under applicable law. Where law requires different treatment, Privca follows that law.
Questions can be submitted through dashboard support or sent to support@privca.com. Do not send full card numbers, passwords, government IDs, or provider secrets.
