Effective date and version
Effective October 20, 2026. Terms version: billing-terms-2026-10-20.
Privca snapshots this version, the Refund Policy version, the recurring-charge disclosure, and the public seller identity with a paid checkout. Later edits do not replace the terms captured for an earlier purchase.
Plans, charges, and automatic renewal
The pricing page and checkout identify the plan, price, billing frequency, included access, and any material offer terms. Personal and Family are offered on monthly and yearly billing periods, and the billing period you select is shown at checkout before you purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, for the price and billing period shown at checkout, until canceled.
By completing checkout and accepting the required terms, you authorize recurring charges to the original payment method. Taxes or separately disclosed provider or government charges may also apply.
Seller identity and purchase disclosure
Before paid checkout is made available, Privca requires its counsel-approved public legal name and business address and verifies that Stripe's hosted policy links are configured. The checkout disclosure identifies the seller, renewal terms, cancellation method, and refund guarantee before purchase.
Paid launch is currently limited to customers whose saved identity country is the United States, and charges are processed in U.S. dollars.
Ordinary cancellation
You may stop future renewals through Dashboard → Billing → Manage billing or another cancellation method Privca provides. Ordinary cancellation does not automatically refund the current billing period and normally leaves paid access through the end of that period.
A qualifying initial-purchase guarantee refund is different: Privca cancels the subscription and ends paid access when it makes the refund.
14-day initial-purchase guarantee
For a first successful paid Privca subscription charge made under these terms, Privca guarantees a refund of the charge's remaining refundable balance when the account asks for it no later than 336 hours after Stripe's recorded paid time and no qualifying privacy request or follow-up was transmitted for the payer or a covered Family member after payment and before the request reached Privca.
The deadline is inclusive. Login, identity setup or verification, target selection, unsent preparation, and local-log testing do not count as transmitted use.
How to ask for a refund
Email support@privca.com from the email address on your Privca account, say which charge you mean, and say whether you are claiming the initial-purchase guarantee. The time your email reaches Privca is the time of your request.
A person at Privca checks the charge and the account's request history and answers by email. Do not send full card numbers, passwords, government IDs, or provider secrets.
What the guarantee excludes
The initial-purchase guarantee does not apply to renewals, a later subscription or re-subscription, plan changes, add-ons, or an account with an earlier successful paid subscription purchase. It cannot exceed the amount that remains refundable on the verified first charge after any prior refund.
Duplicate or unauthorized charges, post-cancellation charges, billing errors, material service failures, discretionary remedies, and rights required by law remain separately reviewable even when the guarantee does not apply.
Effect of a qualifying guarantee refund
Privca makes a guarantee refund through Stripe to the original payment method, cancels the subscription and future renewals without a new invoice or proration, and ends paid access. Privca may also cancel requests that have not yet been sent.
Previously transmitted work and append-only evidence are not withdrawn or erased. Privca preserves appropriate evidence and monitoring for work already sent.
Family scope
For a Family plan, eligibility is measured across the payer and covered Family members. A qualifying external request or follow-up transmitted after payment by any covered member counts as use.
Other refunds and billing corrections
Refunds outside the guarantee are reviewed separately; ask for one the same way, by email. Privca may approve a full or partial correction for a duplicate charge, unauthorized charge, post-cancellation charge, billing error, service failure, discretionary reason, or a remedy required by law.
Those refunds do not automatically cancel the subscription unless Privca and the customer separately arrange cancellation or applicable law requires it.
Payment provider, disputes, and required law
Stripe processes charges, subscription changes, and refunds to the original payment method; Privca does not store full card numbers. Tell Privca if the same charge is under a bank dispute so duplicate reimbursement can be avoided without limiting non-waivable dispute rights.
Nothing in these Billing Terms limits refund, cancellation, automatic-renewal, consumer-protection, or payment rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
